My dearest Cami,

I did it, sis! I finally found the courage to get on a plane and start my own journey to see the world---just like we talked about, and just like I promised.

I must admit you were right. Being in a different country is far better than merely reading about it. I wish the circumstances were different, though. I wish I'd done this sooner with you. But I’ll write you a postcard from wherever this newfound wanderlust takes me, just like you used to do for me as well.

Oh, and I met a guy. Lucas Barnes. I thought he was a jerk at first, but it didn’t take long before he changed my mind. Lucas suggested that we travel together, and he made it clear that we’re only travelling as friends and nothing more. I wanna say yes ... does that sound crazy? I’ll tell you more on my next postcard. :)
